721548 – XI 3.0 Changing the passwords of the XI service users 

Changing the password for XI service users in ABAP

1.       Issue transaction SU01 and change the ABAP password for the following users:  (see R/3 Security if you do not know the password)

o        XIREPUSER

o        XIDIRUSER

o        XIAPPLUSER

o        XILDUSER

o        XIRWBUSER

o        XIAFUSER

o        XIISUSER

o        XISUPER

Modify the parameter within SLDAPICUST

2.       Login to the XI system and issue transaction SLDAPICUST.

3.       Modify the existing SLD information with the new SLD:

o        Modify the password for the user XIAPPLUSER.

4.       Save the change.

Modify the Exchange Profile of the XI System

5.       Go to the http://<hostname>:<port#>/exchangeProfile of the XI system and click Connection.  Modify the password for user XILDUSER and click Set.

6.       At the Exchange Profile, modify the following:

o        Expand AdapterFramework and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.adapterframework.serviceuser.pwd = new password for XIAFUSER then Save.

o        Expand  ApplicationSystem and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.pwd = new password for XIAPPLUSER then Save.

o        Expand IntegrationBuilder >> IntegrationBuilder.Directory and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.name = new password for XIDIRUSER then Save.

o        Expand IntegrationBuilder >> IntegrationBuilder.Repository and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.repository.serviceuser.pwd = new password for XIREPUSER then Save.

o        Expand IntegrationServer >> IntegrationServer.MappingRuntime and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.pwd = new password for XIISUSER then Save.

o        RuntimeWorkbench and enter new password for:

o        com.sap.aii.rwb.serviceuser.pwd = new password for XIRWBUSER.

Modify the password for RFC INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI

7.       Issue transaction SM59.

8.       Expand HTTP Connection to R/3 System and double click on INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI RFC.

9.       Click on the Logon/Security tab and modify the password for user XIISUSER then Save and test the connection. 

10.   Do for all server nodes.

Maintaining the SLD Data Supplier in the XI Java Instance

11.   In the J2EE Visual Administrator on the XI system, choose Cluster >> Server >> Services >> SLD Data Supplier for performing the configuration. 

• Maintain the HTTP Settings then save (hostname=<XXX.com, port#, User=XISUPER, and password)
• Maintain the CIM Client Generation Settings and save (Host = <XXX>.com, port#, user=SLDUSER, and password).

12.   Test the Connection by triggering the bridge.

13.   Repeat above steps for the CIM Client Generation Settings and RFC Setting tabs if applicable.

14.   Do for all server nodes.

Maintaining the XIRWBUSER password in PMI Store Destination

15.   In the J2EE Visual Administrator on the XI system, choose Cluster >> Server >> Services >> Destination.

16.   Expand HTTP, modify the password for XIRWBUSER within the pmistore.

System Checkout

17.   Restart the complete XI system to ensure all j2ee services use new password settings.

18.   Run full cache refresh using URL: http://<hostname>:<j2ee port#>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full (e.g. http://mysapapp07.insight.com:50000/CPACache/refresh?mode=full)
