Selecting a particluar view in BDC

If you want to change a particular view of a material using BDC and you record a BDC, it hardcodes the view number as 1, 2 and so on... But if for another material the same view is in different location, the BDC fails... Is there a way to use the BDC in to select a particular view? E.g. You want to select the 'Foreign trade data' view. Use FUNCTION 'selection_views_find'. This will give you the Sequence and FCodes for calling all the views.
